The magazine MUSICS was published in London from 1975 to 1979 and focused on the interdisciplinary activities of sound art, field recording, free improvisation, live electronics and audio culture. It was published six times a year and ran for twenty-three hand-assembled issues. The journal covered improvised and non-Western music alongside performance art and included contributions from Steve Beresfold, David Toop, Annabel Nicholson, Evan Parker, David Cunningham, Lindsay Cooper, Eddie Prevost, John Russell, Derek Bailey, Hugh Davies and Peter Riley, among many others.

On Friday, February 24th, you’re invited to join us at the Landing to celebrate the publication of a new book that collects MUSIC’s issues, which will feature a concert by Thurston Moore & Friends.
